I hope you had the opportunity to go through the comprehensive analysis we did for “King Kunta” by Kendrick Lamar. The song featured on Kendrick’s latest album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’, which released last month. Among other songs, “King Kunta” was very well received by the community because of the lyrical work on it and the clever meaning behind them. King Kendrick is undoubtedly one of the better rappers of our time.
Today, Kendrick Lamar released the music video for “King Kunta”, which is kind of not what we expected it to be. The video features a setting in Compton, which the song is based about. Watch below.
I honestly believe something more could have been done with the music video. The video isn’t without meaning. But I believe it does injustice to the lyrics of the song. What do you think? Is the music video adequate?
