Watch Pentatonix Cover the Iconic “Hallelujah” for this Season

“Hallelujah” is one of those songs that will never fade away in music. It has been covered, recreated, remixed and remastered a thousand times and will continue to do so in the coming decades. Leonard Cohen released the song in December, 1984 and it has literally made a cultural revolution. It’s most famous covers include that of Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright’s Piano cover.  More later artists include Tori Kelly and now we have Pentatonix gifting you this cover for this Christmas season.

The Pentatonix 5 pax get together on a desolate location to bring life to this cover of “Hallelujah” and it has all kinds of emotions mixed in a bundle. All members are dressed in black as if a homage to the gods. Needless to say that all members are pitch perfect and in full tune.

Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
