Watch the Music Video for “Paris” by The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers released “Paris” single about a month ago along with a lyric video. Yesterday the American DJ duo released the official music video for “Paris” featuring Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers and the gorgeous VS model Martha Hunt.

Releasing the video the group captioned the meaning of “Paris” as they intended in the song:

paris \ ‘pa-res\ n 1 : a sentimental yearning for a reality that isn’t genuine 2 : an irrecoverable condition for fantasy that evokes nostalgia or day dreams

This is exactly what’s been shown in the music video, where Martha Hunt’s dreamy reality comes crashing down.

We were staying in Paris
To get away from your parents
And I thought “Wow, if I could take this in a shot right now
I don’t think that we could work this out”

Out on the terrace
I don’t know if it’s fair but I thought “How could I let you fall by yourself
While I’m wasted for someone else”

The story-teller nature of The Chainsmoker’s songs do continue on this track as well and Andrew Taggart voices the male lines where as Emily Warren vocals the female lyrics.

The Chainsmokers continue to impress the fans with almost every new song they put out and they have been having a chart-topping season since last year.
