Justin Bieber – Unstable Ft. The Kid LAROI | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

“Unstable” is the sixth track on Justin Bieber’s 2021 album ‘Justice.’ The song features vocals by the Australian singer The Kid LAROI, marking their first collaboration together. The song tells a story of a difficult relationship saved by the love and grace of the singer’s partner.

Justin Bieber released his sixth studio album ‘Justice’ on March 19, 2021. This is his follow-up project to the 2020 release ‘Changes.’ Announcing the new album, Justin Bieber said “This is me doing a small part. My part. I want to continue the conversation of what justice looks like so we can continue to heal.”

In the song, Justin Bieber tells us how he was in a rather unstable state of mind in his personal life which also spilled over to his relationships. His partner was the anchor in his life that saved him and their relationship. This could be yet another tribute to Bieber’s wife Hailey Bieber, but he was not dating her in his rebellious days.

Listen to “Unstable” by Justin Bieber Ft. The Kid LAROI

Throughout the song, both Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI talk about their respective relationships which were driven to the ground by their own careless actions. Justin Bieber says he almost scared her away from his life, threw her out of the door, and shut down the door behind her. But her love and understanding were much stronger than his. So, she did not give up on their relationship.

The lyrics also closely tie with mental health with regards to anxiety and loneliness. Justin Bieber may be able to relate to these lyrics. However, even in his darkest days, she was right by his side to take care of him. She nurtured him through these unstable times.

You’re an angel watchin’ over me

Many of the songs by Justin Bieber since his marriage to Hailey Baldwin has been about her and praising her. We can only think this song is about her as well. But it could be just a manifestation of his imagination as well.
