Album Review

It is evident that Justin Bieber’s 2020 album title is a dedication to his life over the past few years. Since his last album release in 2015, he has taken an extended break from music and taken some time off for his personal life. He broke off completely with his longterm and on-again-and-off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez and married Hailey Baldwin in 2019.

These changes in his life are directly reflected in the singles released off the album so far. “Yummy” is a clear dedication to his model wife Hailey Baldwin. “Get Me” featuring Kehlani also speaks about a relationship in which they have perfect understanding of each other. After the public spazz Justin Bieber had before his 2015 album ‘Purpose,’ he requires some understanding to live with. And it seems as though he has found it.

On “Intentions,” Justin Bieber showers us yet again with a letter of love for his significant other expressing that all he wants to do is make her happy and love her day in and out.

Only a few songs, such as “Running Over,” “At Least For Now” and “Available,” stray away from the common theme of love on this album.

The album will reflect on this journey Justin had in the past few years. It will bring out a more mature and romantic soul in representing his personal life right now.
