Demi Lovato announced her seventh studio album ‘Dancing With the Devil…The Art of Starting Over‘ released on April 2, 2021. This is her follow-up project to her 2017 album ‘Tell Me You Love Me.’ The album touches on her personal struggles with drug addiction and her near-fatal overdose in 2018.
With Apple Music, Demi Lovato talked about how the collaboration came to be; “Noah and I sing this song together, and it was originally sent to me by Matthew Koma, who is a talented producer and artist. I fell in love with it the second I heard it and immediately thought of how incredible Noah’s voice would sound on it. I’ve always wanted to collaborate with her because she’s so brilliant.”

“Easy” Lyrics Meaning and Song Review
In the song, Demi Lovato sings about how ‘easy’ it is to move on from a relationship–not easy at all. She talks about how both physical and emotional ties keep her attached to the past and makes it so hard to walk away.
But the hardest part about moving on is making it look as if it is easy. You are expected to be strong, you are expected to move on fast, you are expected not to cry over losing someone special because they cheated on you. Society expects you to cut the “bullsh*t” and move on. But it is never that easy.
If you have been with a person for quite some time, there will be a lot of places you have been to with him. There will be a lot of things you have done with him. So, there will be a lot of things and places that will trigger your memories;
I’ll leave through the sidestreets
Right by the house where you grew up
It gets even worse when the time comes to ‘clean up’ the memories. The gifts you received need to be discarded out of sight. The postcards need to be tucked away in a box in the garage. And the memories have to be replaced with someone new.
It’s a whole process to move on from a relationship. And it’s never easy.

The song is one of the best over ever heard. It takes me back to my childhood friend whom I’ve known for over 20 years. It breaks my heart that we’re no longer friends. I love this song. Thank you
