Billie Eilish performed a new song at one of the stops during her ‘Happier Than Ever: The World Tour’ in Manchester on June 6, 2022. Titled “TV,” this new song dives into some deep-seated demons of the singer.
Produced by her brother, FINNEAS, “TV” will likely be a part of Billie Eilish’s upcoming third studio album.

The starting lyrics of the song set the tempo for the remainder of the song. This might not seem like much, but the lack of motivation to socialize and stare into the abyss of a TV are classic signs of depression. Later on in the verse, Billie also says that she should just sleep to avoid all her problems.
But it only gets worse.

Billie Eilish wants to drown her sorrows away. Or maybe she wants to feel like she is not the only one who is going through these feelings. ‘Survivor’ is a reality TV series where cast members are cast away into an inhabitant island where they must compete against each other to win challenges. Sometimes, these competitions get heated up.

It seems like the relationship requires a lot of work and keeps you away from your other social circles. This happens only when a relationship requires ‘effort’ to make things work.
In the second verse of the song, Billie talks about some other things that consume her sanity. Billie has been mentioned in many Internet articles about her body (most celebrities fall victim to this). So, she has to be body-conscious all the time, sometimes even having to starve herself. This affects her mental and physical well-being.

The above lyric refers to the wildly popular defamation trial between US movie stars Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard. After weeks of the televised court cases between the two movie stars, Johnny Depp was ruled victorious in the argument that Amber Heard had malicious intentions in her 2018 article about being a victim of domestic violence by Johnny Depp.
The bridge of the song adds the cherry on top of this sad song;

Finally, all the doubts she ever had about everything seem to stem from within. When a few dozen things don’t go your way, one tends to point a finger at themselves. This is the beginning of the fall. When you start doubting yourself, there is no one who can help you.
