Tom Hanks & Justin Bieber in “I Really Like You” by Carly Rae Jepsen

After so many years of silence, Carly Rae Jepsen is making a return to music with a bang. The “Call Me Maybe” superstar has been in hiatus for several years, pondering on ways to make a new hit to equal “Call Me Maybe”. And her response is “I Really Like You” single which was released today. The new songs is as contagious as her previous mega-hit. It’s Pop, fast paced, upbeat and soo Carly Rae Jepsen. What’s better is, it will be having a music video as well.

A teaser video released on the Internet showed something interesting when it comes to the upcoming music video. The video shows Carly and her dance crew dancing (almost always out of sync) in New York to the music of “I Really Like You”. What’s interesting is the legendary actor Tom Hanks is dancing besides Carly. What’s more interesting is Justin Bieber is there too. JB is not so clear in the video, but photos taken out of the scene clearly shows Justin doing a crazy dance on the set.

We can expect some freestyle dance moves on this video–it won’t be as hot as “Call Me Maybe” though…

So, it is confirmed Justin Bieber was there. No Photoshop tricks.

Still, I don’t think “I Really Like You” will be as big as “Call Me Maybe”. The latter came out with a new theme–a fresh perspective–some new lyrics, and I believe that is why it was a global hit. However, “I Really Like You” lacks that ‘freshness’, new lyrics and the lot. But the song is very catchy courtesy of the music (we are already on the 5th replay).

What do you think about Carly’s new track? What do you predict of it? Will it be bigger than her previous hit? Or is it just catchy?
