When “Malibu” was first released, it was a surprising change by Miley Cyrus who was going through a ‘Bangerz’ phase in her music career. After the Hannah Monatana phase was out her life, Miley Cyrus sort of freed herself and turned a leaf on her book of life and music. So came hits such as “We Can’t Stop,” “Wrecking Ball” and collaborations with artist Mike Will Made-It. However, “Malibu” marks another turning point in her career. This song is soothing and soulful and quite down to earth as well.

Beginning the performance on The Voice stage, Miley dedicated the song to the Manchester attack victims.

“I like to dedicate this song to my good friend Ariana Grande and everyone who experienced that horrific attack yesterday. Our hearts are with you.”

The stage was decorated with beautiful plants and bushes and flowers to suit the theme of the song. Behind her in the background was a digital waterfall falling through some rocks. The designers have gone all the way for the production of this performance.

Miley Cyrus got quite emotional performing the song, as she has said the song does before also.

You can download the single on iTunes and Amazon.
