DJ Khaled’s ‘Wild Thoughts” Featuring Rihanna is Very Explicit (Review)

DJ Khaled’s 2017 album ‘Grateful’ has it’s fourth single out and it has our wild thoughts in a stir. Khaled has signed up Rihanna and Bryson Tiller for “Wild Thoughts” and the music video released a couple of days ago has everyone drooling over Rihanna. Basically, the song speaks about how wild thoughts pop up between two lovers. The song is sampling Carlos Santana’s 1999 track “Maria Maria.”

“Wild Thoughts” is written by PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rihanna, Bryson Tiller and DJ Khaled himself. The erotic music video is produced by Claudia Rivas.

When I’m with you, all I get is wild thoughts

The music video is quite explicit as we see Rihanna wearing some really see through clothing and posing in sultry positions. We have witnessed that Riri is not really shy to wear something revealing and this music video takes it to another level.

We will look at some of the lyrics of “Wild Thoughts” and what the singers are meaning with them below.

I don’t know if you could take it
Know you wanna see me nakey, nakey, naked
I wanna be your baby, baby, baby

Riri is correct, most of us non-celebrity mortals can’t seem to handle seeing Rihanna nakey.

Spinning and it’s wet just like it came from Maytag
White girl wasted on that brown liquor
When I get like this I can’t be around you

Maytag is a popular home appliance brand in the USA and Rihanna refers to a washing machine of the same brand and that her head is spinning and she is aroused.

“Brown liquor” is any type of alcohol that has colour-specifically brown or dark in this context. Brown liquor is usually cheaper than white spirits.

I hope you know I’m for the takin’
You know this cookie is for the baking (ugh)
Kitty, kitty, baby give that thing some rest

These lines are full of slang terms for sex and female sexual organs. You should be able to figure it out on your own.

Bryson Tiller’s verse has some strong sexual context too;

Now that pipe got her running like she Usain, baby
You made me drown in it, touche, baby
I’m carrying that water, Bobby Boucher, baby
You know I’ma slaughter like I’m Jason.

If you would like to interpret this verse, please do so in the comments below. It has some serious sexual references that it is very inappropriate for younger audiences. So keep your interpretation as filtered as possible.

“Wild Thoughts” music video released a couple days ago, has over 21 million views on YouTube alone. I do not find anything too good about the lyrics or the music of the song, so the only remaining thing is the video, which is quite attractive to say the least.
