Taylor Swift Raps in New Single “Ready For It?” from ‘Reputation’

Without much build up or tension, Taylor Swift has released the much awaited second single off ‘Reputation’ album and it is good. “Ready For It?” is a more upbeat and Pop track than the first single “Look What You Made Me Do” and hence, our faith in old Taylor not being dead has been restored. A snippet of the song was released as a promotional track for an ad campaign for a college football match earlier today.

The new single “…Ready For It?” has Taylor Swift wondering about the game of love-wondering about his next move. For a full review of the lyrics click here.

We also see Taylor Swift almost-rapping in some verses of “…Ready For It?” and it’s a refreshing change of pace.

Knew he was a killer
First time that I saw him
Wonder how many girls he had loved and left haunted
But if he’s a ghost then I can be a phantom
Holdin’ him for ransom
Some, some boys are tryin’ too hard
He don’t try at all though
Younger than my exes but he act like such a man, so
I see nothing better, I keep him forever
Like a vendetta-ta

Taylor Swift speaks about how she has a thing for bad boys, getting into relationships knowing they were killers. Killer is a murderer of hearts in this scenario.

Taylor Swift is rumored to be dating Joe Alwyn at the moment and could Taylor Swift be hinting at him with the reference “younger than my exes?”
