The brand new “IDOL” music video comes as the lead single of BTS’s new album ‘Love Yourself 結 ‘Answer’ (English translation) which was released on August 24. It is also the 15th track on the massive 26-track album. This album is the last of BTS’s ‘Love Yourself: 起承轉結’ album series.

“IDOL” is a song about themselves. How they idolize themselves as one of the premiere Kpop groups in the world. They also continue to sing that no matter what obstacles or critique comes their way, they won’t change their style or core.

The music video for “IDOL” takes a wrap on the Koren culture, style, and music. The traditional Korean dresses, cultural lion figures, dances, and architecture are prominent throughout the video. The YongSeok Choi-directed video is colorful, vibrant and full of energy.

On top of this viral popularity, Nicki Minaj could not help but add a few verses of her own to the track.
