Young Thug – Hot (Remix) Ft. Gunna & Travis Scott (Lyrics Review and Song Meaning)

Gunna and Travis Scott join Young Thug’s remix of “Hot” from his ‘So Much Fun’ album released in August 2019.

The new remix adds a verse from Travis Scott and was accompanied with a music video released on November 2, 2019. The music video finds all three artists ‘literally’ on fire while splitting their bars.

“Hot” lyrics are an ode to the lucrative lifestyle lead by these artists. They boast about their fashion choices, drinks, vehicles, their rivals, and of course about their women.

Watch the music video below.

The song lyrics heavily praise Cartier-a French luxury fashion brand. Cartier Eyes are their signature eye-wear ranging from $100 to thousands. Even Young Thug seems to agree as he assumes a world of Cartier around him;

Yeah, Cartier eyes
Cartier coat, Cartiers the watch
Cartier love, Cartier the thot
Cartier specs, buffalo on the side
Princess cut diamonds, they Cartier, yeah
Cartier bag for the Cartier thot
Sky Wrangler coupe with two hundred the dash
Cartier jeans, ain’t no way I can sag

Several luxury vehicle brands name dropped in the song are Maybach, Bentley, Jeep Wrangler and Porsche Cayenne.

Gunna also says that anyone who tries to diss him will get in to some troubled waters, much like Fox News channel exposes and slams the corrupt personnel.

Travis Scott’s new verse has him committing that this song is not actually a remix, but rather a sequel to the original. We cannot disagree. Travis also name drops his third studio album ‘AstroWorld‘ in his verse of “Hot” remix.

Travis Scott also brings up his Netflix documentary ‘Look Mom I Can Fly,’ which elaborates Scott’s story from his birth to the global success of ‘AstroWorld’ album. The documentary contains videos of his life, from childhood to school to music to concerts.
