We really wanted “Something Just Like This” to make this week a whole lot better. The Chainsmokers and Coldplay premiered this song as a surprise performance at BRIT Awards 2017 that happened last night. The full length lyric video was released soon after and the song captures the best of both the artists.
The Chainsmokers also announced their upcoming debut album ‘Memories… Do Not Open’ which will be released on April 7, 2017 and “Something Just Like This” will feature on the album.

The Chainsmokers have outdone themselves with the music on this single and Coldplay’s Chris Martin never disappoints on the vocals. That combination makes this track one for the top charts.

The singer tries compare himself with the heroes that he knows and he clearly fails. He wants to be oh-so-powerful like the stories of the legends he read about as a child. He believes that he needs to do everything to his woman-everything in the world-to make her happy. But little does he realize that that is not what women are after.

Chorus is a nice repetition of the title of the song blended with some soothing EDM. The Chainsmokers do not overcook their music and hence even EDM can be tolerated with such a sweet song as this.
