Eminem released a brand new music video for “Temporary” today which beautifully paints a picture of the relationship between Eminem and his daughter Hailie Jade from the time when she was playing a monster and being carried on Eminem’s shoulder until she was being walked down the aisle.
Eminem has been promoting his latest album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’ with music videos, extended versions of the album, and merch. “Temporary” is an ‘odd’ track on the album tracklist, which is dedicated to heightening the dichotomy between Eminem and Slim Shady. Solely for this reason, “Temporary,” a very emotional tribute to Hailie Jade, feels out of place in the tracklist.
However, with the release of the music video, “Temporary” has become something special in the entire discography of Eminem. The video contains footage recorded as far back as 1999 when Haile Jade was only 4 years old. The video also contains footage from Hailie Jade’s wedding from May 2024 and features some emotional captures of Eminem unable to control his tears looking at his daughter. Now, 28 years old, Hailie Jade is married and expecting her first child. Eminem is about to become a grandpa.
For the first time ever in Eminem’s career, we see him breaking down at Hailie’s wedding. The ‘big bad wolf’ of rap has never shown emotion except anger all his life. He put on the meanest demeanor in his career. But all that breaks down on the day your daughter is married away. Today we get to see the human side of the Rap god.

Eminem’s life has been on display for most of his career. We all know of his upbringing in a broken home–his dad leaving him when he was only a child and his mother being addicted to alcohol and drugs. He was bullied at school and neglected at home. Alongside being the greatest rapper of all time, pushing a career of over two decades and still outselling almost every other rapper, Eminem has broken his family curse and has been a present father to his children. He showed that generational curses can be broken. And thanks to Eminem’s efforts, Hailie and his other children would have learned what it was like to have some resemblance of a functional family. Hailie and Alaina would carry on his legacy to their families. And Eminem did it while carrying a whole industry on his shoulders. If he did it, so can you. Trauma doesn’t have to be passed on. It can stop with you.
A special mention is required about Eminem’s addictions. He has completely overcome his addiction problems and has been sober for 16 years.
Eminem has a die-hard fanbase and a career unparalleled in the history of hip-hop. He has a new best friend in the music industry. He has beautiful children who love him loads. On top of it all, Eminem is about to be blessed with his first grandchild.
