P!nk has made a comeback in to what she does best-music. This time she has a whole album, ‘Beautiful Trauma,’ coming out on October 13, 2017. The first single off of this album is “What About Us” and P!nk delivers her usual powerful vocals and imagery in the song and the video.
Pink seems to be getting a little political with this new single as she questions the questionable areas in the society.

The new Pink single shows the world in disarray, corrupted and destroyed by humanity itself.

In the first verse P!nk is talking about the power of the common people. We are the searchlights that seek truth in the darkness. We are the dreamers and builders of this world. And we are pure at heart until the politics pushed us down the drain. This is not a realization P!nk is willing to accept and “What About Us” is her voice.

P!nk is questioning everything. It is as if she has woken from a long sleep and her waking up call seems to have been the presidential election. And after a sweet blissful sleep, we are awaken to the bitterest truth-that the entire world is corrupt with politics.

The second verse directly speaks about how easily the rulers make a fool out of the common man without realizing their true power. The corrupt soon forget who gave them the power, and this power is given, not taken.
Throughout the entire track, Pink is expressing her disgust towards the corrupt and power-hungry political system that has brought the entire world to a rotting dump.
It would be interesting to see the fan’s reaction to this song, as a comeback single from a radio silence of years. P!nk brings back her powerful and unique voice in this track and we have missed her so much.
