There probably has not been a music video ever in the history of music videos that used the green screen for editing as bad as in “I Don’t Care” video by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber. This is not hatespeech, as we are aware that the poor editing was part of the game plan.
Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran announced an unlikely collaboration in late April 2019 and released “I Don’t Care,” a boppy hit about feeling secure with your significant other. Fans were teased of green screen snippets that showed Ed Sheeran in a panda costume and Ed Sheeran in a bear costume.
The brand new music video for “I Don’t Care” released on May 17, 2019 and it is as weird as we expected it to be. The entire video is a failed production with the green screen, which is used to add special effects.
Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber stroll through a fancy dinner party, swimming pool, cities, streets, beaches, tennis court, corn plantation and even space. In all of these backdrops, the poor green screen editing is clearly visible.
Ed Sheeran circles through costumes such as a professional suit and tie, Panda, bathrobe, beachwear, tracksuit, tennis gear, banana, spaceman, a bridal gown, a pink bunny, a centaur, cowboy outfit, and a party suit and tie. Justin Bieber circles through costumes such as shirtless, bear, corn, an ice cream cone, a half pegasus-half ice cream cone, a sleeping robe, casual, cowboy outfit, and possibly more. Yes, it’s a whole thing!

This bizarre work of art is directed by Emil Nava. He himself called this video “something pretty mad” on a teaser Instagram post.
Ed Sheeran took to Instagram to announce the release of the video with a snippet. This specific split-second scene includes Ed Sheeran in a bridal gown marrying Justin Bieber’s promotional poster from several years back. Justin Bieber comments on the post saying “I think you married me in this when I was a minor. Not cool Ed.”
