DJ Khaled’s newest album ‘Father of Asahd’ has hit the streets and it’s the hottest thing in pop now. The album also released with a handful of music videos for each song. “Wish Wish” song and music video features Cardi B and 21 Savage.
DJ Khaled released his eleventh studio album ‘Father of Asahd’ on May 17, 2019, and the album contains many high profile collaborations. From Chris Brown to Lil Wayne to Big Sean on “Jealous” and late Nipsey Hussle and John Legend on “Higher,” Rick Ross, Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, Beyonce and more artists appear on this album.
“Wish Wish” is the second track on the album and features vocals by rappers Cardi B and 21 Savage. Cardi B’s verses mainly converse about how the entire industry is jealous of her sudden climb to the top and how everybody wishes to be her. 21 Savage, too, raps on a similar avenue.
Watch the video below.
Cardi B is seen wearing some extremely low cut, body hugging attire, and flautns some exteme cleavage. The backdrops have been stylized wtith wooden pallets, fire and sports motorbikes drifting around.
Cardi’s verse has stirred up some controversy as to them alluding to Eminem;
I just make my M’s and mind my business, hoes be ridin’ dick (Dick)
“I can see Cardi eat so much,” and that’s what got ’em sick
M&M is the name out of which Eminem drew inspiration for his. “Em” is also a short form for ‘Eminem.’ The above lyrics contain both of these references, but has failed to stirr up a response from either party.
21 Savage name drops the hip-hop power couple’s names Jay-Z and Beyonce in his verse on “Wish Wish.” He also raps about buying a Richard Mille wristwatch–a high-end luxury wristwatch brand that could even cost up to millions of dollars. DJ Khaled does not fail to show his Patek Phillipe, another high-end luxury wristwatch brand, on his hand during the music video.
