Taylor Swift teased that she and her most recent collaborator, Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco will be performing their latest global hit “ME!” live on The Voice Finale held on May 20, 2019. And so did it unfold.
The Voice Season 16 Finale was held at the NBC studios with the participation of finalists Maelyn Jarmon, Andrew Sevener, Dexter Roberts, and Gyth Rigdon. Maelyn Jarmon stole the season finale with stunning covers of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” duet of “Unforgettable” with her coach John Legend, and an original song titled “Wait For You.” Gyth Ridgon became the runner up for the season.
Whilst the amateurs impressed the crowds, a few veterans were tasked with breathing energy into the show. Some amazing performances such as “Cool” by Jonas Brothers, “Talk” by Khalid, “Rescue Me” by OneRepublic, “Boy With Luv” by BTS, brand new single “Nightmare” by Halsey, “Let Her Cry” by Hootie & the Blowfish were delivered throughout the season finale.
Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie, too, were invited to perform their latest hit single “ME!” on The Voice Season 16 Finale. The duo got into their usual sparkly and vibrant costumes for this show. The backdrop to the stage was a massive butterfly glowing in all colours of glitter.
“ME!” is the brand new single released by Taylor Swift from her upcoming 7th studio album yet to be titled. Taylor Swift has a habit of dropping hints about her upcoming music in all her TV appearances. May be, this performance at The Voice finale, too, had a few easter eggs. See if you can spot them in the video below.
That high-five at the end of their performance is proof that Taylor Swift is still a massive goofball when it comes to being ‘cool.’ Brendon Urie and Taylor Swift massively messed up the high-five!!!
This is not the first time Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco performed their hit collaboration live. The world premiere live performance of the song was done on Billboard Music Awards 2019 held earlier this month.
Taylor Swift shared some of her favourite moments from The Voice Finale night on Twitter, one of which is meeting the winner of Season 16, Maelyn Jarmon.
