why dont we look at me

Why Don’t We – Look at Me | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

“Look at Me” is the ninth track on Why Don’t We’s 2021 album ‘The Good Times and The Bad Ones.’ The song is surprisingly sexual as the band sings about getting rough in the bedroom.

Why Don’t We released their second studio album, titled ‘The Good Times and The Bad Ones’ on January 15, 2021. Prior to the release, the band released “Fallin’,” “Lotus Inn,” and “Slow Down” promotional singles. The band also mentioned that this was the first album they wrote and produced on their own.

The title of the song is a reference to the power-move played in the bedroom during sex. The dominant partner may make the other look at their eyes while the other pleasures them sexually.

“Look at Me” Lyrics Meaning and Song Review

The entire song is a sequence of sex between the singer and their partner. By the sound of it, there is nothing ‘vanilla’ about their sexual appetite either.

In the first verse of the song, we hear that the singer and his partner are on the ground right next to the clothes they were wearing a minute ago. The singer, being the gentleman, offers the lady to pick her favorite sexual position. He is confident that he can put on a show and please her right.

In the chorus of the song, the singer hints at oral sex performed by his partner on him. She is on her knees, pleasuring him, and he wants her to look at his eyes while she does so.

The second verse does not get any vanilla either. The singer talks about kissing her on her lips and when she starts kissing his neck, he is ready to go. He flips her over and you-know-what!

The singer seems to have a few guilty pleasures when it comes to sex such as the partner looking directly at him and having her say his name!
