“Crazy Over You” Lyrics Meaning and Song Review

Verse 1

In the first verse, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa sing about the lengths they are willing to go to protect the ones they love. They run the risk of gaining some enemies and envious people around them, but it will be a small price to pay to have ‘the one.’ Other girls will be at wishing wells hoping and praying for this man.

Lisa’s lines also suggest that they are willing to do “anything” to keep this man around. She goes as far as to say that he is dead if he tries to play games with her.

Pre-chorus

In these lyrics by Rosé and Jisoo, the singers revealed that they approached this guy first. They saw him and they wanted him. They also knew that they did not want to come off as being too strong, or he would run away. So they had to devise a smooth plan and approached him and the spell worked.

Chorus

The chorus is all about how the girls were crazy over this guy from the first sight. They are lucky enough to have him in their lives.

Verse 2

The second verse is by Jennie and Lisa. In these lines, the girls confess that it does feel a little wrong to “own’ this boy to themselves. However, they want what they want and they want this boy in their lives. The girls do enjoy the high in their minds with this boy in their lives.

‘Fight Night’ is a reference to the UFC event of the same name. Fighters do come out more pinked out with bruises in these fights.

Bridge

In the bridge by Jennie and Rosé, the girls sing about how their love is going to change the boy’s life. They assure him that after he feels the love of these girls, he is going to love them equally back–maybe even more.

Outro

BLACKPINK girls scream at this boy to love them back, just as crazy as the girls love him. This love is made to make both parties go insane!
