Verse 1

Verse 2
The Weeknd plays the part of her potential boyfriend, and he is patient enough to wait for Ariana Grande to make her mind. The Weeknd says that he can’t help but feel like he is treated like an ‘option’ as Ariana Grande delays her decision.
The Weeknd also promises her that he can love her harder than anyone has loved her before. And love her harder than anyone he has loved before. He confesses that he was in a darker place back then, and references his infamous song “The Hills” from 2015. he says he was haunted by the success of this era. It feels like this relationship is going to be a win-win situation for both of the potential lovers.
