Harry Styles released his third studio album ‘Harry’s House’ on May 20, 2022. The album follows Harry’s previous release in 2019, titled ‘Fine Line.’ The new album takes melodic themes about people’s mental states during current days. Although, the album cover paints a house turned upside-down, a house is where your heart is.
“Daylight” by Harry Styles has sparked rumors about connections to his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift who also has a song by the same name from her 2019 album ‘Lover.’ However, during an interview with Howard Stern, Harry Styles denied any link saying “You are reading too much into it. You know I’d love to tell you that you’re spot-on, but you’re not. We will always wonder.”

Harry Styles “Daylight” Lyrics Meaning and Song Review
Throughout the song, Harry Styles talks about how he feels when his partner is not around him. He draws an image of a lonely boy sitting on a roof looking at an airplane pass by him.
I’m on the roof
You’re in your airplane seat
I was nose bleedin’
Looking for life out there
While this boy is stuck at home, missing her, she is flying to different places. Why? We don’t know. Maybe she is a superstar on tour.
The boy’s nosebleed relates to several topics in the song. Later in the verse, Harry mentions drugs, which could have given him a nosebleed. Also, when you get a nosebleed, you are advised to hold your head tilted back, essentially looking up at the sky, maybe looking at the passing airplane?
Harry is looking for life out there because he cannot find any in his home.
Harry wishes he could be a bluebird so he could fly with her wherever she goes. But this is just not a luxury humans get.
Nighttime is the only solace Harry gets because she is home. As the daylight dawns, she has to go about her business, maybe for days and months at times. So, he curses at the dawn of the day. But, soon he realizes that when she is in a different timezone, he is not just cursing at the daylight. He curses around the clock now.
Whenever she leaves, Harry says he is on a “come down speed.” This could refer to his mood coming down or even entering into a depressive space.
Love can work miracles on a person, and the lack of it can eat a person, too. Pick your poison.
