Continuing from their dark and ominous single “Save Yourself,” The Chainsmokers premiered a brand new song today. The new single “This Feeling” featuring Kelsea Ballerini, gives us major throwbacks on to the group’s hit singles “Closer” and “All We Know.” The new song features the classic The Chainsmokers synth-pop music accompanied by vocals of Andrew Taggart.
“This Feeling” is the latest addition to the music released from their upcoming studio album ‘Sick Boy.’ No release date has been announced for the album yet. However, we got the taste of “Save Yourself,” “Side Effects” featuring Emily Warren, “You Owe Me,” “Sick Boy” and “Somebody” tracks from the future album.
“This Feeling” is written by The Chainsmokers duo-Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall and Emily Warren.

As lovey-dovey as this song sounds, it is not. Even the lyric video premiered with the release of the song does not give much of a romantic-vibe, except for the red hearts floating all over the screen. We would not guess the artists would use skeleton heads for the two lovers if this was a romantic hit.
Lyrics Review and Song Meaning of “This Feeling”
This is a story of how two people, who are wrong for each other, force themselves into a relationship. Their friends can see that these two are not meant for each other, but the couple fails to fight their instant gut feelings.
The girl says they have certain expectations of their relationship. At a glance, it seems as if the partner is able to cater to all these requirements. But that’s what ‘the thing in their chest’ says. Not that ‘the thing in your chest’ is always wrong. But you have to give reigns to the head when jumping into a relationship.
Andrew Taggart’s verse comes strongly at all the people who say ‘nay’ for this relationship. He says no matter how much he tries to explain to his friends on how this is going to work, they just nod their heads and stick to their presumptions. But the singer says, you should take the leap of faith and see for yourself what happens. Because, ‘at the end of the day, you only regret the things you didn’t do.’ So he says, if this relationship comes crashing down, he will assume responsibility for that as well.
The Country voice of Kelsea Ballerini matches perfectly into this smooth EDM track along with Andrew Taggart.
