“In My Feelings” music video starts off as a romantic comedy, where Drake visits Kiki’s mansion (played by LaLa Anthony) and confesses his love for her. Then her mother (played by Phylicia Rashad) appears on the balcony and shouts Drake away. Start the beat…

The balance few minutes of the video takes a ride through the city of New Orleans, appreciating its sub-culture, art, and lifestyle. The video does not lack dance choreography, which is mainly based on the dance started by Shiggy (below).

The faster rap verses are accompanied by a lot of twerking girls, which was quite expected in the video.

City Girls’ Yung Mami is seen wearing a top and a jacket which says “Free JT,” the second member of the group. She is currently serving a two-year prison sentence being found guilty of credit card fraud.

Unfortunately, ‘Lil Wayne does not make an appearance in the video to perform his sample of “Lollipop” in the song.

Then Drake wakes up… Turns out the entire song and the video was in his daydream. Funnier is when he explains the #InMyFeelings challenge and how it came to be.

“I just had a dream that I made some song about some girl. I was from New Orleans, I had like, a grill in my mouth. And then this kid from New York that spits when he talks all the time did some dance to it, and then the world did the dance, and Will Smith was there…nobody would stop…It was terrible!”

Turns out, the kid from New York that spits when he talks is Shiggy and he is the set coordinator for a Drake song. Drake is completely baffled by the reality.

“In My Feelings” music video ends with a compilation of celebrities and fans doing the #InMyFeelings challenge. The parade includes animals and Will Smith as well.
