Imagine Dragons’ “Bad Liar” Gets a Lyric Video and It’s All Kinds of Chill (Review)

Imagine Dragons released their fourth studio album ‘Origins’ in November 2018. Within this album we find many great tracks and “Bad Liar” certianly takes a top spot. This song is special for several reasons.

Dan Reynolds, the lead vocalist of Imagine Dragons, says that ‘Origins’ is a “sister album” to their previous album ‘Evolve.’ as it completes a cycle of their music. We tend to find more softer music and songs in ‘Origins’ than in ‘Evolve’ which is not the usual Imagine Dragons flavour. Previous single “Zero” also took a melodious tune, while “Natural” gave us the classic hard-hitting Imagine Dragons musc. “Bad Liar” is a song about a wreck of a life, sung is a very chill tune.

We did a lyrics analysis for “Bad Liar” in a previous article, in which we talked about the song and what it means in depth. However, in a nutshell, this song talks about the experience of living a lie in a relationship.

The newly released lyric video for “Bad Liar” contains some amazing animations of a storm in an ocean. A female character is shown floating in a tiny boat in the ocean and another male is seen in a ship. This ship gets attacked by a sea monster and drowns. The female jumps into the ocean in hopes of saving this man.
