After much anticipation, Sam Smith’s brand new single “How Do You Sleep?” has finally graced us all and it is a u-turn from his usual heartbreak beats.
Sam Smith first teased the song on a social media post on July 10th. Although the song enacts a pop beat accompanied by a crazy hip-dance choreography, the lyrics still contain a sad story. Looks like the inner turmoils of lost love continues in the artist.
The lyrics to “How Do You Sleep?” talk about Sam Smith’s feelings after going through a breakup. He promises himself that he will do everything possible not to cry himself to sleep again over a lover who did not love him back. At least we know one reason why their relationship did not last–Sam Smith’s partner seems to be a pathological liar.
