“Faith” is the eighth track on The Weeknd’s 2020 album ‘After Hours.’ The song is the exact opposite of what the title would suggest. The Weeknd sings about losing faith and his path and taking up drugs to cut himself loose.
‘After Hours‘ is The Weeknd’s fourth studio album released on March 20, 2020. The album produced singles such as “Blinding Lights,” “Heartless,” title track “After Hours” and “Scare To Live” all throughout 2020. Abel himself called this album his ‘PSYCHOTIC CHAPTER’ at the reveal of the album.
In the lyrics of the song, The Weeknd brings in many drug references; from cocaine to Molly to Lean to Xanax. All these drugs run through his body because he cannot find any purpose for his life. These claims of drug abuse may not be exaggerated, as The Weeknd has publicly admitted to his love for drugs.

In the second verse of the song, The Weeknd goes so far as to admit that he might even OD from his excessive substance abuse. He says that if it does come to that, he wants “you” to take the same journey with him, right next to him. ‘You’ could be a reference to his partner or even God.
