The Weeknd – Hardest To Love | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

“Hardest To Love” is the third track on The Weeknd’s 2020 album ‘After Hours.’ On this track, Abel blames himself for his failed romances in the past because he is difficult to be in a relationship with.

After Hours‘ is The Weeknd’s fourth studio album released on March 20, 2020. The album produced singles such as “Blinding Lights,” “Heartless,” title track “After Hours” and “Scare To Live” all throughout 2020. Abel himself called this album his ‘PSYCHOTIC CHAPTER’ at the reveal of the album.

The Weeknd admits that it feels worse when his partner is trying so hard to make the relationship work despite his flaws. But he knows that somethings cannot ever be mended. The Weeknd might be feeling like he doesn’t deserve to be loved because of his own flaws. One main reason for these relationships to break apart seems to be infidelity, on both parts!
