Dua Lipa – Love Again | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

“Love Again” is the eighth track on Dua Lipa’s 2020 album ‘Future Nostalgia.’ The song is a positive outlook towards falling in love again after a series of heartbreaks. Anybody can relate?

Dua Lipa’s second studio album ‘Future Nostalgia‘ had her experimenting with new kinds of music. This was clearly visible in the singles off the album such as “Don’t Start Now,” “Physical” and the title song of the album. The album is classic Dua Lipa!

Dua Lipa spoke about the song on Apple Music; “It was a song for me, to give myself a little cuddle, and was about being hopeful that I would fall in love again… I wrote it at a difficult time, but sometimes songs help you get out of certain situations. It’s like cheap therapy, and I think this is my favourite song on the record.”

This track also samples the 1997 track “Your Woman” by White Town.

“Love Again” Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

When you have your heart opened up to someone just to have it broken again and again, it is quite difficult to retain a positive outlook on love. But it might just take a simple smile from a special someone to re-ignite that spark in the heart. Dua Lipa narrates the same story and mentions that she felt as if she did not care about anything until she met this new person.

And then you feel that new energy runs through your entire body. The world looks bright and joyful. There’s new hope and she believes that everything is alright.

Dua Lipa believes that this time is different than all other times. She can feel it. This is just experience.
