The Weeknd released his 2020 album ‘After Hours’ last week and looks like he is not finished just yet. Three days later, the singer released three more tracks, “Missed You,” “Nothing Compares,” and “Final Lullaby” as bonus tracks off the album.
‘After Hours‘ is The Weeknd’s fourth studio album released on March 20, 2020. The album produced singles such as “Blinding Lights,” “Heartless,” title track “After Hours” and “Scare To Live” all throughout 2020. Abel himself called this album his ‘PSYCHOTIC CHAPTER’ at the reveal of the album.
In “Missed You,” The Weeknd sings a sweet melody to an ex-lover. He admits that he misses her and also comes to terms with the fact that his actions lead to their breakup.
Listen to “Missed You” by The Weeknd
In the two verses of the song, we hear The Weeknd lamenting over the fact that he was responsible for their breakup. He also admits to still thinking about her even though there is no getting back for them.
All throughout the ‘After Hours’ album, we found likely references to The Weeknd’s two most recent exes Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez. This song, however, is believed to be about Bella Hadid.
This song also brings back the classic Blues The Weeknd is well known for. The soothing chorus, filled with pain, is a bitter-sweet symphony!
