If you’d thought Bruno Mars was done trying to get the girl, you were wrong. Bruno Mars once again proves that he is willing to go the extra mile in the new song “Risk It All” from his new studio album.
“Risk It All” is the opening track on Bruno Mars’ fourth studio album, ‘The Romantic’, released on February 27, 2026. The swooning song talks about giving it all to get the girl in the most classic Bruno Mars style – buttery vocals and a guitar in hand.
“Risk It All” has quite the resemblance to Bruno’s 2010 hit “Grenade.” In the latter, Bruno Mars talks about doing the impossible if it means he gets the girl in the end. In the new song, Bruno Mars promises his partner the moon if that’s what she wishes for.

What is the meaning of the song “Risk It All” by Bruno Mars?
At the beginning of the song, Bruno Mars says there is nothing stopping him from winning her over fair and square. If all the other gentlemen in the world have set the bar so high for her, he would still climb a mountain to get over it. If her bar is over the stars in the night sky, it would not stop him.
Say you want the moon
Watch me learn to fly
If she wants the moon from him, another literally impossible task, watch him learn to fly. He promises no results, but it will not stop him from trying.
In the second verse of the song, Bruno Mars promises to hold her hand until the end of time. In the music video for “Risk It All,” we see an elderly couple looking at pictures of them from their younger days with a smile on their faces. They give a look of absolute content.
In Bruno’s 2010 hit, “Grenade,” he expresses a similar sentiment – that he would catch a grenade for her or jump in front of a moving train for her. However, in that song, the feelings aren’t mutual. Bruno Mars sings, “but you won’t do the same” hinting that his love is one-sided. However, in the “Risk It All” music video, we see a happy ending, where the two of them get married and spend the rest of their days in bliss.
His passion for her is so strong that he admits that he would do anything for her – running through a fire or swimming a vast ocean just to be by her side. Ain’t no mountain holding him down if she is the one on the other side of the mountain.
