Kendrick Lamar is one of the hottest rap artists in the industry right now. Never knew how humble he was until he appreciated the music of Taylor Swift. Kendrick Lamar went live on K104 in Dallas on Wednesday. He talked about his new song “I” and the music video and he was also challenged to a freestyle rap by the host, and to make it even more interesting Kendrick had to go off to the ‘Shake It Off’ music.

I would say Kendrick Lamar nailed it. This was not just a freestyle rap over Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ music, the host kept giving him new words to be used in the rap as he kept on rapping. I’m no rapper, but I should assume that it is an extremely difficult task. He had perfectly rhyming lyrics as well.
Kendrick Lamar also admitted that he is a fan of ‘Shake It Off’ by Taylor Swift. He even went on to sing a little bit of it.
Taylor Swift wasn’t the one to back up. We all know that Taylor Swift’s new album ‘1989’ managed to reach a new high in ‘first week album sales‘ and she was super excited about it. The excitement was so intense that she made a video of her lip syncing to Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” track. Looked like she kept a perfect pace and rhythm with the track, and her facial expressions were priceless.
