Hailee Steinfeld Premiers “Starving” Single with Zedd (Review)

The beautiful actress and model, Hailee Steinfeld has released a new song breaking the silence in her music career. The 19 years old collaborated with Zedd and Grey to release the hot track “Starving.” As of now, the single does not belong to any album title.

Hailee Steinfeld also released her EP ‘Haiz’ earlier this year, which consisted of 4 tracks that were pretty slick.

The lyrics to the song are quite simple and straightforward. It speaks about how intoxicated the girl is in meeting the man of her dreams.

You know just what to say
(Shit that scares me!)
I should just walk away
But I can’t move my feet
The more that I know you
The more I want to
Something inside me has changed
I was so much younger yesterday… (oh)

I could be wrong, but those last lines could very well refer to the singer losing her virginity. Something inside her has changed could have meant how she has fallen in love. But the last line, suggests that she has become a woman. So “Starving” might very well be speaking of the singers first sex experience with her love.

Sometimes you don’t even know that you need love until that right person comes along and sweeps you off your feet. It’s an emotional earthquake, so is losing your virginity. Once you’ve had a taste of love, it’s quite difficult to undo the experience.

Besides the cute voice of Hailee Steinfeld, Zedd drops some sick futuristic beats in “Starving”. The music, however, is in perfect sync with the track. Zedd doesn’t overdo, as we have seen before.

“Starving” might be getting a music video as well. Hailee Steinfeld released this sneak peak video clip of Zedd, Grey and herself doing random stuff singing the song.

We would love to see this video. It looks relaxing, natural and simple-much like the song itself.
