The Nicki Minaj vs Cardi B feud is far from over. The duo reportedly has had a run-in at the recently held New York Fashion Week and it has turned quite ugly.
The Incident at NYFW
Sources report that Cardi B has walked on to the table where Nicki Minaj was seated with her crew, and she has said ‘let me tell you something…” She then lunged towards Nicki Minaj but was stopped by security moments before contacting Nicki. As she was being escorted away from the event, Cardi B took a final swing by removing her shoe and throwing it at Nicki Minaj. Lucky enough, the shoe missed the target. Cardi B was escorted out of the event following the incident, one shoe-less.
Throughout the entire incident, Nicki Minaj is reported to not have even flinched. #Queen
However, the short video leaked from the scene shows both artists trying to get physical at each other. Watch the video below.
A short while ago, Cardi B released a statement on her Instagram account, which seems to be very direct towards Nicki Minaj.
As per this statement, Cardi B states that Nicki Minaj practically tried everything possible to sabotage her musical career. Cardi claims that she tried to bring peace between them by talking things out, which clearly has not worked out. Nicki Minaj has subdued to take shots at Cardi B being a mother, which is crossing a whole lot of lines.
Cardi B rocketed to fame with two hit singles “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi.” Maybe, Nicki Minaj felt threatened by her presence in the industry. Nicki took shots at Cardi B in her next album ‘Queen’ which looked at retaining her throne as the queen of rap and hip-hop business. Singles such as “Majesty” featuring Eminem, focused on establishing her status in the industry.
Nicki Minaj released a short clip on Instagram, from on her way back from the New York Fashion Week event. She focused the camera on her face, most likely to show that she was unharmed from the night’s incident. She did not caption anything, except for an NYFW hashtag. Guess she won that war as well.
Nicki Minaj’s Tough Luck in 2018
Nicki Minaj has not been having the best of 2018 yet. Her new album debuted at #2 on Billboard Top 200 album chart, behind Travis Scott’s ‘ASTROWORLD.’ Next, while performing “Majesty” at Made In America concert last week, Nicki suffered a major wardrobe malfunction, where she flashed her chest to the entire crowd. It is reported that Nicki had another wardrobe situation at the New York Fashion Week last night as well.
On top of that, somebody stepped on Nicki’s dress as she walked to the event. She screamed, naturally!

Anyway, seems like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B war is just beginning to worsen. The war for the top spot in female hip-hop/rap genre has begun. By the looks of it, this is going to be an ugly war as well.
