Future kicked off the year 2019 with a brand new album. The Atlanta based rapper premiered his seventh studio album on January 18, 2019 with a massive track list. “First Off” is one of the few collaborations on the album.

The laid-back beat is offset by some impressive bars by both artists. “First Off” is just one of the two collaborations on this album; the second being “Unicorn Purp” featuring Gunna and Young Thug.
In “First Off,” Future and Travis Scott bring up topics such as being featured on Forbes magazine, Patek Philippe wristwatches, diamond bling, Louis Vuitton, drugs and his endorsements. According to celebritynetworth, Future is estimated to be around $30 million in net worth for 2019.

In the first verse, both artists jump on the drugs wagon. They speak about abusing ‘codeine’ AKA lean, which is a very destructive drug. However, in 2019 Future confirmed that he has quit drugs.
‘Gelato and Gorilla’ is a name of a string of marijuana, which we expect to be quite expensive. In addition, the rappers talk about their loyalty to the crew
In the second verse of “First Off,” Future and Travis Scott sing about Travis’ business deal with NBA, which is a multi-million dollar industry now. Travis Scott was engaged with NBA to develop the soundtrack of ‘NBA 2K19’ video game. This deal must have earned him a substantial money wich he contrasts from a practice match.
Travis Scott also mentions his brand deal with Nike. In 2017 Scott signed a deal with Nike to become the official face of Air VaporMax shoes. Several years back Travis had to spend his entire paychecks on a pair of Nike’s. Now Nike pays him!
There is a lot of energy and motivation in this collaboration between Future and Travis Scott.
