Lauv and Troye Sivan’s New Collab “i’m so tired…” is 2019’s Heartbreak Anthem!

2019 kicked off with so many good, new music that we can call January, 2019 a truly good month for music. Troye Sivan and Lauv are the latest to join the handful of artists who had new music to release in the new year. Bouncing back from “Lucky Strike” music video, Troye Sivan has joined hands with fellow pop artist Lauv for the newest collab “i’m so tired…”

The new song has Lauv and Troye Sivan lamenting about love songs and love in general. The song is part of Lauv’s upcoming 2019 album ‘Blurry Bodies.’ Lauv and Sivan have been teasing the upcoming collab on social media since the beginning of the year and on Jan 16th, finally, confirmed the release date.

There is only a audio version of the song out yet, however, it features Sivan and Lauv taking a ride in a car, at dusk, during a pinkish sky. The video is recorded from the backseat, and the duo seems to be just talking and driving.

The single, released on January 24, is available for download on iTunes and Amazon.

“i’m so tired…” explores how two adults, Sivan and Lauv, are tired of looking for love. When they do find it, it does not last, and everytime it ends up in heartbreak. This has them pushed to resort to spending the nights with strangers, which should be emotionally damaging for the artists.

Troye shoutsout to Coldplay and Lorde by referencing their songs “Hurts Like Heaven” and “Buzzcut Season” respectively.

There is good measure to believe that “i’m so tired…” will be getting a music video. Lauv shared the below snippet of what could be the upcoming music video;

Both Troye and Lauv are going to be on Jimmy Kimmel on February 6th, most likely to talk about the collab and perform the song.
