XXXTentacion’s posthumous song release days are not over. Teaming up with rapper Craig Xen, X resurfaces with a brand new song “Run It Back!”
XXXTentacion teased the song first on Snapchat in November 2017 and was later confirmed by Craig Xen on Instagram. The conversation by Craig Xen on the Instagram post read that “Run It Back!” was one of the last songs X worked on before his untimely passing on June 18, 2018, at the age of 20.
After the death, X’s camp released his first posthumous album ‘Skins‘ in December 2018, which peaked at #1 in the US, Sweden and Norway. He was also featured in the collaborative album ‘Members Only, Vol. 4’ as part of the Members Only crew.
The new collaboration “Run It Back!” with Craig Xen comes from Xen’s upcoming studio album ‘Broken Kids Club’ expected in late June 2019. This feature is only one of the three on the entire album
The song lyrics detail about the curse of the sexual appetite for men coupled with the greed for glory in the hip-hop industry. This combination has resulted in more violence in the industry than anything else. The song explains how artists have reduced themselves to going to extreme lengths to protect themselves from threats from within the industry. XXXTentacion also drops down some wisdon on trusting people;
