Last night People magazine released a news saying that sources close to Taylor Swift has confirmed that Taylor Swift co-wrote Calvin Harris’s hot single “This Is What You Came For” featuring Rihanna. Tayvin supporters eagerly waited for a collaboration to drop for about a year but the relationship ended early June without new music from the duo. However, now it has come to light that Taylor Swift has actually helped Calvin Harris write the hit single which is at 4th on Billboard Hot 100.

Maybe a smart move considering it would have been disastrous to have music out there with her name after the breakup.
Wednesday, TMZ reported that Taylor Swift wrote the song, sat down at a piano and did a demo into her iPhone,” which she then sent to Harris. And he has loved it. Think about it, there is a demo of Taylor Swift singing “This Is What You Came For” that we will never get to hear!

Then the whole world blew up. Taylor Swift fans and Calvin Harris’s fans have reacted to these new news in various ways. Taylor Swift has not responded to any of it even now and Calvin Harris went on the Twitter rant mentioned below.

I highly doubt that there’s any base to this comment as Taylor Swift has said or done nothing to Calvin Harris or even about the breakup for that matter.
After the breakup Calvin Harris tweeted that there’s only “respect” left for each other and he is seriously contradicting himself here.

This is a very cheap shot taken by Calvin Harris. Looks like he is still not over Taylor Swift although he decided to call it quits.
Katy Perry did not like being dragged into this war she has fought before. She replied to Calvin’s comment with an epic Hilary Clinton GIF.
Taylor Swift is the co-writer of the song and has the publishing rights to the song. This will not allow her to stop the song being performed live or be sold, but she can restrict the song being played on TV and film. However, we doubt that Taylor Swift will go so far as to restrict the song being played anywhere as she does not want to rekindle the cold war that’s going on.
I doubt we would hear anything from Taylor’s camp on this matter as she has been extremely silent about her personal life after the breakup with Calvin Harris. She has been vacationing around the world with her new lover Tom Hiddleston.
Either way, I believe it is a good thing that Taylor did not use her real name to be included in “This Is What You Came For”. What are your thoughts?
