Ever since “This Is What You Came For” track was released, we have been in love with it. Although EDM in nature, the track gives prominence to the lyrics-however good or bad they may be. The song is simple and easy on the ears and Rihanna does a brilliant job of vocalizing in a soft range to bring out that magical aura of a relationship.

The entire music video shows Rihanna sweetly singing the lyrics swaying her body in harmony with the tune. The track is fast paced and the lyrics are not. It’s a different combination, but Calvin Harris and Rihanna makes it work perfectly.
It’s quite amazing how Rihanna can go from “Bitch Better Have My Money” to “This Is What You Came For.” She is versatile like that.
There have been only a few Rihanna-Calvin collaborations and they have all performed well on the charts. This track is no exception. “This Is What You Came For” has been among top ten tracks on Billboard Hot 100 ever since the release. We are waiting for more such collaborations in the future.
