Halsey is an upcoming artist who has gained some major attention via her own music production as well as the recently released collaboration on “Closer” with The Chainsmokers. This single earned both the artists their first Billboard Hot 100 #1 spot on the chart. However, Halsey began her career making covers and this “F*ck Yourself” cover may just be the best out there.
Halsey took on Justin Bieber’s hit single “Love Yourself” and remade the lyrics only to change “love” to “f*ck” and it still turned out pretty well.

Ed Sheeran (who wrote the original song) said in his interview with Howard Stern that the original lyric was f*ck yourself and it was originally written for Rihanna. Then it was changed to love yourself when given to Justin Bieber. Not sure if Halsey knew this as it’s possible Ed Sheeran or Justin Bieber mentioned this in more than one interview and that Halsey heard about it! Seems like quite a coincidence if she came up the idea herself 😉
