Charli XCX finished a very successful tour with Taylor Swift on her ‘Reputation Tour’ around the world. Now it is time for her to think about her music and how she is going to take on 2019. We already see some amazing albums by top artists coming up in 2019, and XCX wants to be in the running.
The 26-year-old “Boom Clap” singer welcomed the new year 2019 like most of us–making a few new year’s resolutions. Unlike “I will refrain from booze this year” resolutions, this promise by XCX could actually come true.
On January 2, 2019, Charlie XCX got to Twitter to reveal her new year’s resolutions;
According to this Tweet, she still has to create an album first. So we will get more information on the album title, artwork and tracklist in the months to come.
She even captioned the Tweet “about time, right?” signalling it has been too long since she released an album. Her previous studio album was ‘Sucker’ released back in 2014. She made her debut studio album release titled ‘True Romance’ in April 2013. XCX also released two mixtapes ‘Number 1 Angel’ and ‘Pop 2’ in 2017.
Last year, Charli XCX collaborated with Troye Sivan on his hit single “1999” that gave us a major throwback into he 90’s.
