Watch Shawn Mendes’ World Premiere Live Performance of “If I Can’t Have You” on SNL

If you are a fan of Shawn Mendes, you already know that he is working on his new album and the first taste of it is “If I Can’t Have You” released on May 3, 2019. Even though Shawn confirmed that this song is a stand-alone track, we feel like it will make an appearance in his upcoming studio album.

Saturday Night Live AKA SNL on channel NBC includes many skits, parodies, dramas and of course, musical performances. They usually take on world premiers of songs like they have done previously with “Boy With Luv” by BTS, Sara Bareilles with “Fire,” “Without You” by Halsey, “Talk” by Khalid, “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” by Miley Cyrus and the list goes on.

Shawn Mendes appeared on the SNL skit as the musical guest for May 4th show. There, he performed his latest single “If I Can’t Have You” for the first time live. Mendes was joined by two backup vocals as the Canadian popstar fingered his guitar as well.

Shawn Mendes did not just stop there. He backed up a song from his memory reel and performed “In My Blood” for the first time on NBC. Watch below.

He did not jus stop there. Shawn Mendes appeared on a skit on Saturday Night Live with comedian actor Adam Sandler. The segment was titled ‘Sandler Family Union.’ Shawn played the role of Adam Sandler’s cousin. Watch the segment below.

Shawn Mendes later thanked his fans for all the support and positivity sent his way after thoroughly enjoying Shawn Mendes’s songs and drama on Saturday Night Live.
