J-Hope – Chicken Noodle Soup Ft. Becky G (Lyrics Review and Song Meaning)

When a music video accumulates over 8 million views in less than 15 hours of its release, it should tell you something about the popularity of the artists involved. BTS is undoubtedly one of the biggest influences in K-Pop music. Becky G is one of the most popular and upcoming sensations from the West. Combine these two with a crazy hip song like Webstar’s “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and you have got yourself a viral sensation. And mind you, it only took one BTS member to achieve this feat.

The “Chicken Noodle Soup” viral hit by J-Hope and Becky G premiered on September 27, and it is raking up streaming stats on every platform. Both artists took to Twitter to tease an upcoming collaboration. Becky G Tweeted, “You should tweet #BeckyHasASecret for something coming… ☠️” and BTS Tweeted, “Hey @iambeckyg , I have a secret, too…🤭😭👍 #CNS.”

J-Hope and Becky G also premiered a music video for the track, which shows the two artists, alongside a flock of dancers, breaking it down to the beat.

You can download the track on Apple Music and take part in the #CNSChallenge on TikTok and other social media, which involves fan reenacting weird and crazy dance moves from the video.

Both J-Hope and Becky G stick to their native languages in this track, making it a truly global hit. J-Hope tells his story of his life in Korean, and Becky G narrates her story in Spanish. The gist of all the verses on the song is about how everyone should remember their roots no matter how tall and strong they grow. Everyone should always pay respect to their beginnings.
