Amidst an overwhelming influx of rumors about a new Eminem album in 2021, the rapper seems to be busy divesting into retail ventures. Eminem released a promo video of a brand new restaurant opening in Downtown Detroit, named ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ on September 29, 2021.
For Eminem fans, the concept of “mom’s spaghetti” is nothing out of the ordinary. The phrase comes from lyrics of Eminem’s iconic track “Lose Yourself” from the 8 Mile movie soundtrack. The brand new restaurant will be themed around this song.
This is not the first time the ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ restaurant has come to life. According to the press release; “the concept was launched in 2017 as a pop-up at The Shelter, the iconic music venue at legendary St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, in conjunction with the release of Eminem’s “Revival” album. The pasta pop-up then made intermittent appearances at various Eminem live festival performances and events over the course of the following year including Coachella, Firefly and Governor’s Ball.”
However, today, ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ restaurant is getting a permanent brick-and-mortar store at 2131 Woodward Avenue “in the alley between Union Assembly and The Fillmore.”
According to the ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ website, there are only three items on the menu so far. You can buy the signature Mom’s Spaghetti dish for $9, and $12 for the same with meatballs and $14 for spaghetti with vegan meatballs appropriately titled ‘Rabbit Balls,’ ‘SGHƎTTI Sandwich’ for $11, and beverages for $4.
Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg also released a statement for the grand opening of this restaurant.
“We’ve had a lot of fun putting this project together with the folks at Union Joints, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive. The previous pop-ups were really a test for us to determine whether there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring Mom’s Spaghetti spot that would be open all year long. We are really pleased to announce the arrival of the walk-up restaurant and adjacent upstairs store, called The Trailer, where fans can experience a uniquely-curated environment and obtain merch and other items from Eminem and his new pasta operation.”

Update: Eminem serves spaghetti at Mom’s Spaghetti Grand Opening
Fans queued up to the grand opening of the Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant by Eminem in Downtown Detroit. Not only Eminem was present at the opening, but he also served food and signed spaghetti boxes for the fans.
The queues only got worse even hours after Eminem left the scene.
Apparently, there was a musical parade for the opening of the restaurant as well.
All this extravaganza for a restaurant opening? This has again sparked rumors of a brand new Eminem album dropping soon.
