The lyrics of the song is about abstinence. And talks about all the emotions one has to deal with being free of sexual pleasures. And somehow, he managed to embed this entire meaning of the song in to two puppies. Being restrained (dog collars), being shunned (being shouted at), frustration (sleeping alone in beds) and finally the big breakthrough. It is all there-in puppy language. So look closer.
It really is a clever piece of work by whoever produced the music video.
