Taylor Swift Shake It Off

Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” Features on DJ Earworm’s Mashup of “United States of POP” 2014

Taylor Swift’s POP transformation worked amazingly. Probably even Taylor cannot believe how successful she has been in moving from Country to POP. But she knew the Swifties were strong and will accept her good music no matter what–and so we did. Some things speak as to how successful Taylor Swift has been in the POP transformation, her album “1989” reached 1.287 million sales in the opening week (the first to do so in 2014), she got nominated for a bunch of awards, she won the first ever Dick Clark Award for Excellence and it goes on. And it has only been a month and week since the release of the album. She is very well on her way for a Grammy, in my opinion.

Another way you know your songs are popular is if it makes into the annual “United States of POP” mashup done by the very talented Jordan Roseman who is very well known by “DJ Earworm”. Weird name and weird skills!!!

“United States of POP” is his best work, probably, and it is a very creative mashup of the best pop songs of the year. The series started in 2007 and has been an annual tradition since. Since Taylor went full POP this year, she earned the right to be in the “United States of POP” series, and so she did.

Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” made it into the mashup and it’s perfect. The whole mashup is perfect.

Other artists such as Adam Levine, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo, Iggy Azalea and more.

Anyway we are glad that “Shake It Off” being release in the latter quarter of the year still earned a spot in this mashup as deserving.

What do you think about the mashup?
