XXXTentacion and Lil Pump’s latest collaboration “Arms Around You” comes months after the rapper’s fatal shooting in Florida. Previously, another collaboration by X with Lil Pump titled “Falling Down” was released. This posthumous song and the alleged to-be-released album ‘skins’ are both evidence for the unnecessary brutality in the hip-hop industry.
The new collaboration “Arms Around You” features guest vocals by Swae Lee and Maluma as well. Initially, the song was planned to include Rio Santana, only to be scrapped off the project in October, just days before the song release.
Producers Skrillex and Mally Mall contribute in production to this song. Their influence on EDM-House fusion is evident on the song, which sings about their love and affection for their lovers.

Apparently Lil Pump had got permission from X’s parents prior to releasing this song as well as “Falling Down.” Hence, it would seem as if the release of X’s album ‘skins’ lies in the hands of X’s parents.

XXXTentacion mixes up English and Spanish lyrics in the chorus of the song to enhance its romantic facade. The singer talks about having his arms around her as a sign of affection and protection.
“Te Amo” in Spanish stands for ‘I love you,’ “hoy” means ‘today’ and “dale” stands for ‘go on.’

He talks about how she makes his heart race like a Ferrari or a Mercedes. He talks about how she does not compare to all the ‘hoes’ he can afford. Maluma performs his entire verse in Spanish and it roughly translates to a full-blown sex scene.
These lyrics roughly translate to how passionate their relationship is going to be, physically. Smoking Cuban cigars, in a 7-star hotel room, and enjoying the sight and feel of this girl is Maluma’s dream.
