Taylor Swift Debuts “Christmas Tree Farm” on Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2019

Capital FM’s annual Jingle Bell Ball is one of the chirpiest live concerts in the Christmas season. The event held in The O2 Arena in London, on December 8, 2019, was a truly magical act with live performances from artists such as Mabel, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Harry Styles, Ava Max, Anne-Marie, Lauv, Sigala and more. Among them, Taylor Swift was the headlining act and she had the honour of closing down the Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2019 night.

Taylor Swift debuted her first-ever live performance of her brand new Christmas-themed song “Christmas Tree Farm” at the event. We could say that she was dressed for this song, as she wore a pure-white and rhinestone-studded jacket and shorts.

Taylor Swift had an extended setlist for Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2019 spanning across her discography. She performed “Blank Space,” “ME!,” London Boy” (because she was in the city anyway), “Lover,” “22” and “Christmas Tree Farm.” The superstar brought out her acoustic guitar for “Lover” and wore a Christmas hat for “Christmas Tree Farm” performances.

Before kicking off “You Need to Calm Down” single from ‘Lover‘ album, Taylor Swift gave a little speech on the inspirations behind this album. “The main concept that I wanted to write about on this album were all the different types of love,” says Taylor. “All the different complexities and intricacies of this magical thing called love… but I think it’s important that we recognize that ‘love’ is ‘equality. And I feel like anyone who doesn’t agree with me needs to calm down…”

Capital FM is yet to release the remaining live performances by Taylor Swift on their YouTube channel. We will update them as soon as they come online. Until then, watch Taylor perform her brand new 2019 holiday single.
