Selena Gomez – Selfish Love Ft. DJ Snake | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

Selena Gomez and DJ Snake are back together after their massive hit “Taki Taki” from 2018. This time around the duo are working for Selena’s upcoming Spanish album ‘Revelación.’ The new song “Selfish Love” was released today along with a brand new music video.

“Selfish Love” follows previous releases from the album such as “Baila Conmigo” and “De Una Vez,” all released in 2021. The album ‘Revelación’ is expected to release on March 21, 2021. This is the beginning of something that I had long wanted to explore,” added Selena Gomez about her new chapter in music in a different language.

The music video for “Selfish Love” bases on a peculiar idea of a barbershop. Selena Gomez is the head barber, and things get quite weird in this barbershop.

“Selfish Love” follows a familiar theme to many of Selena Gomez’s songs: crushing over a person. Whoever she is crushing over has her thinking about them all day. They also have Selena wondering if there is someone else who is stealing their attention.

‘Love’ is a selfish affair. Either of the partners tries to win ‘all’ of the other person. And sometimes this can lead to some unfortunate endings too. But when two people just click with each other on the frequency, it can be quite beautiful.

All this time and we still got that selfish love
You like making me jealous
